Fort de Belrupt
Fort de Belrupt was an early defensive structure built as one of the six "panic redoubts" in the mid 1870's as an attempt to further fortify the area around the city of Verdun. Located to the southeast of the city, the area saw relatively little action during the battle, and as a second line fort it was only used as an artillery position until 1915. Afterwards, it became a barracks and resting spot for nearby troops from nearby Fort de Moulainville.
